Who is allowed to consent?
Parents, custodial parents, legal guardians and foster agencies are recorded with the authority behind them and a signed consent to treat.
Immunizations scattered across forms
Vaccines are recorded on the chart with CVX codes for the common pediatric series, and the plan lists what is due next.
Teen screening that never happens
PHQ-9 and GAD-7 are scored on submit and trended, which makes adolescent screening part of the visit rather than an extra form.
Guardians, authority and consent, recorded once.
A chart for anyone under 18 opens a guardians tab automatically. You record the relationship, the legal basis for it and the signed consent, and your policy on what teens may consent to alone stays yours to set.
- Court order or power of attorney noted where it applies
- A state-law reminder on the guardians tab
- Sports physicals, newborn and sick visits as their own types
ADHD check-ins and telehealth that fit around school.
ADHD follow-ups are their own short visit type, telehealth visits fit a lunch hour, and DoseSpot handles non-controlled and controlled prescriptions from the chart.
- Video visits on the same schedule as office visits
- Prescriptions synced back to the medication list
- Reviews requested from parents after a completed visit
Configured for children and teens
Pediatric visit types, roles and the well-child template are applied, with a bright practice theme you can swap.

Coming from another system?
Pediatric offices typically move from an ambulatory EHR. Immunization history comes across from C-CDA where the old system includes it.

Questions
Can a teenager consent on their own for some care?
That depends on state law and the service. The chart records who consented and with what authority; your policy decides when a minor may consent alone.
Do immunizations use standard codes?
Common pediatric vaccines are coded with CDC CVX codes. Anything outside that list is recorded by name until you add its code.
Can parents book the next well visit themselves?
Yes. Well-child, sick and sports physical visits can be published to your booking page, and parents get text and email reminders before each one.
Is there a newborn visit type?
Newborn visits are 30 minutes and immunization-only visits are 15, and both share the calendar with sick and well visits.
